BIK Tubelight
Solar tubes are originally designed to supply rooms without direct daylight with daylight. Solar tubes are now also applied on flat roofs because of the aesthetic aspect of the ceiling light.
Solar tubes vs skylights
Solar tubes are easier to be installed compared to conventional skylights due to reduced structural opening size. Another advantage of a daylight tube over a skylight is that the light transport is possible in both vertical and horizontal direction. It is possible to apply tube lengths up to 8 meters. So the daylight can be lead through several floors.

The BIK TubeLight is a new solar tube, engineered by BIK. The TubeLight is designed to transport as much light as possible. One of the important features is the shape of the lower tube. Instead of a bottle neck shape, like other solar tubes, the TubeLight has a larger ceiling light diameter.
Fast and secure installation
Due to smart engineering, the BIK TubeLight is not that difficult to install. The standard packing has a handy wooden drawing tool which is also applied as strengthening plate. The tubes are round formed, so no bending and minimal taping needed, minimising labour time on site. No additional sealing needed; the product carries the right sealing parts.
The shape of the dome of the BIK TubeLight is engineered based on computer simulations of daylight admittance. The standard dome is in acrylic. If a higher insulation value is desired, BIK can supply an inner dome. This inner dome is available as well in acrylic.
For flat roofs BIK have developed a double layered, insulated aluminium upstand. This upstand is suitable for various types of roofing material and is very easy to handle.
The reflector is well-positioned with a minimal disruption of the northern light. The tubes have a silver coating for long lasting reflection. The reflection of the tubes is excellent at all sun angles. Because flexible tubes have a much lower reflection value and a poor light transport, BIK have chosen for a system with rigid tubes. For an easy installation, all tubes are round formed, thus avoiding bending or needless taping of tubes on site.
The diffuser is made of material from the lighting industry, which transmits more light then common diffusers. The diffuser has a modern frosted look, the ring is elegant and slim. The ring is made of coated aluminium and has RVS hexagonal type screws. It is available in five colours on stock and in any other colour on request.
