Dali Tracks and Spotlights
DALI DIGITAL ADDRESSABLE LIGHTING INTERFACE
Acronym of Digital Addressable Lighting Interface, DALI is a standard international protocol developed in the 80′s for digital communication between components of lighting systems. After connecting all the DALI interfaces of the installation, the DALI protocol allows for programming and controlling each single address, which corresponds to a single product or group of products that communicate with the control unit through the microprocessor.
iGuzzini has equipped a selection of existing floodlights with electronic DALI to take full advantage of this technology. Moreover, a series of specific tracks was developed for interfacing with DALI: iDuo, Standard and Recessed. The two light control systems, DLC Master 1 and Scene Equalizer, provide communication with DALI, allowing the user to control and manage track products to create customised lighting directions.
The new compact adapter identifies the new DALI products, allowing for installation on new DALI tracks. Although they have the same aesthetical appearance as traditional tracks, DALI tracks are different from the mechanical viewpoint in order to eliminate the risks originated by the possible installation of standard floodlights on DALI tracks and vice versa.
