The i24 fitting was designed to satisfy the lighting needs of the new Sole 24 Ore headquarters in Milan. Sole 24 Ore is a successful and historic daily financial newspaper published by Confindustria (the Italian Industrial Association). This prestigious project was designed by Renzo Piano, and it comprises and satisfies the new global dimension of economic and financial information. The lighting project serves as a support for the work of hundreds of people on a daily basis, guaranteeing that they can have lasting and elevated light performance. In terms of style, it sustains the operations of a complex and large-scale organization.
Different needs are met with the richness and innovation provided by this system; there are a wide range of fittings classified into five different types: wall-mounted, adjustable ceiling/wall-mounted, adjustable vertical spots, pendants, and indirect lighting for tracks. the i24 range is ideal when installed in offices, art galleries, hallways, reception halls, and hotels.
The system optics were designed for T16 lamps, and they yield high-end photometric results along with a reduced unit volume. The asymmetric light emission which derives from the optic’s curvature lets us light walls or ceilings in a uniform way with excellent results. The photometric performance is long lasting through time, thanks to protection screens that limit the entrance of dust and insects inside the fittings.
Louvres are available as accessories to reduce glare to a minimum in areas where visual comfort is a must. The range and photometric results satisfy a wide array of lighting specifications and needs in all kinds of spaces.
The reflector is made of ultra pure aluminium of the highest quality. Yield is more than 84%. The asymmetric light emission has a maximum intensity of 50° in relation to the vertical axis.
The fittings i24 wall- or ceiling-mounted use T5 lamps. They are made from an extruded aluminium optical assembly, extruded aluminium screen-holder rim, injection-moulded polycarbonate end caps, small die-cast aluminium adjustable arms. i24 are equipped with electric cables inside the small adjustable arms. The adjustable arms can be adjusted from: -10°/+90°.
i24 have an aluminium wall-mounted base, while the internal support plates are made of extruded aluminium. They are equipped with quick-connecting terminals for electrical connection. They have a liquid paint finish. The electronic power supplies are housed inside the fitting.
i24 has an ultra pure aluminium reflector. It has an asymmetric light emission and is equipped with mechanical blocking mechanism for precision aim.
i24 can take the following accessories: polycarbonate protection screens (IP40), antiglare louvres (longitudinal cut-off 30°).The louvre and protection screen for louvre (IP40)can be used at the same time. Accessory installation requires no tools.
i24 is available with an electronic control gear and DALI dimmable electronic control gear. Dimmable DALI models are equipped with a switch-dim, which allows the user to adjust the light with a standard electric switch.
