Apex Interiors Ltd has been entrusted with the supply of Mineral Fibre false ceilings, Gypsum partitions, bulkheadsand ceilings as well as skylights for the new Dedicated Micros Factory in Malta.
The factory was inaugurated on 7th December 2006. Established for 20 years, Dedicated Micros (DM) is an international market leader in the field of specialist CCTV control equipment. The company is renowned for the design and manufacture of robust, dedicated, multiplex hardware designed to meet the demands of continuous 24-hour security surveillance.
DM’s success is rooted in the invention of the world’s first video multiplexer – a monitoring product which records continuous images from a number of cameras onto a single video cassette tape – the basis for today’s sophisticated CCTV security surveillance equipment.
The sharp growth in world-wide demand for DM’s products has helped to create a truly global company with sales subsidiaries in every continent. Major investment took place in state of the art production lines at the award-winning Malta production plant to cater for increased productivity.
DM’s products are used in security systems in a broad range of commercial and community applications across the globe. These include Heathrow Airport in London, the Oman Bank, BP petrol stations across the UK, Manchester United’s Old Trafford Football Ground, the French Postal Service (the PPT) and the US Government Agency.
BIK skylights were used to increase illumination in the staircase leading to the office during daytime. These skylights will not leak as they are structurally built in a way which avoids all possible leaks. Further information about skylights can be obtained here.
Armstrong Mineral Fibre Ceilings Dune Supreme was used in offices, meeting rooms and corridors. Fine Fissured was used in the shop floor and stores. Dune Supreme does not sag even at 99% relative humidity. In fact, it has a lifetime guarantee against sag. Dune Supreme offers 83% light reflectance. Dune Supreme has a sound absorption of 0.5αw and a sound attenuation of 35dB. It also has Class0/Class1 fire rating according to (BS476). Dune Supreme only weighs 3.9kg/m2. The thermal conductivity of Dune Supreme is between 0.052 and 0.057 W/mK. Fine Fissured does not sag even at 95% relative humidity. In fact it has a 10 year guarantee against sag. Fine Fissured offers 83% light reflectance. Fine Fissured has a sound absorption of 0.55αw and a sound attenuation of 34dB. It also has Class0/Class1 fire rating according to (BS476). Fine Fissured only weighs 3.5kg/m2. The thermal conductivity of Fine Fissured is between 0.052 and 0.057 W/mK. Further information about false ceilings can be obtained from here.
